Installing vCAC Self-Service Portal (v5.1)

Run the vCloud Automation Center Self-Service Portal Setup Wizard

1. Right-click the installer (DCAC-SelfService-Setup.exe) and select “Run as Administrator…”
2. Click Next

3. Browse and select a valid license file to continue (use the same license used for the vCAC Manager install)
4. Click Next to continue

Select the features to be installed

5. Ensure “vCAC Self-Service Portal” is selected to be install
6. Click Next

Database Connection Information

7. Enter the SQL Database instance FQDN
8. Enter the database name (this is the same DB configured previously for vCAC Manager)
9. Click Next to continue

Configure Manager Service and Model Manager Web Service Parameters

10. Uncheck “Use HTTPS”
11. Enter the FQDN of the Manager Service (localhost:9003)
12. Enter the FQDN of the Model Manage Web Service (localhost:80)
13. Enter the service credentials

14. Keep “Use Default Log Location” checked
15. Enter the Self-Service Portal service account info (same service account is used for all vCAC components in this guide, but you can use unique accounts if preferred)
16. Click Next

17. Click “Install” to begin the installation

Installation Complete

18. Click “Finish” to close the setup wizard 
19. Reboot the server (this isn’t required, but helps to ensure all services are started properly)

vCAC Self Service Portal Installation is Complete
