Configuration Overview

There are three major concepts within vCAC that allow a user to provision virtual workloads. We will explore these concepts more as we go forward:

Compute Resource: the underlying resources and hardware that will be used to power your applications. This could be a physical machine, and vCenter instance, vCloud Director virtual data center, Hyper-V instance, etc.

Reservationslices and dices the Compute Resource to determines how much of each resource (storage, memory, CPU) a group of people has the ability to use.

Blueprint: describes what processes will be using the Compute Resources. This includes the OS, software, business processes, and management options available
